Sickle Cell Disease Foundation

A nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of individuals living with sickle cell disorder through care, awareness, and research.

At Not Just Brunch (NJB), we believe in more than gathering — we believe in giving. In keeping with our mission to empower women and uplift communities, NJB is proud to have donated $10,000 to the Sickle Cell Disease Foundation (SCDF) in support of individuals and families affected by this life-altering condition.

Sickle cell disease is a genetic blood disorder that disproportionately affects communities of color, especially within the African diaspora. It causes chronic pain, organ damage, and complications that can deeply impact daily life. Unfortunately, due to limited resources and awareness, many living with sickle cell struggle to access quality care, support, and research breakthroughs.

Our donation supports SCDF’s tireless work in:

  • Providing care and counseling for individuals living with sickle cell
  • Advancing research aimed at better treatments and a potential cure
  • Raising awareness through education, advocacy, and community outreach
  • Empowering families with resources and hope in the face of adversity

By partnering with SCDF, NJB affirms our ongoing commitment to making a tangible difference. This contribution is more than financial — it’s a statement of love, solidarity, and action.

Together, we rise — and together, we change the world, one life at a time.
